Introducing Betta to the aquarium

The aquarium or the fish tank should be ready before betta is bought home. This is a very crucial step that one gets the required amount of time to get the aquarium ready based on the fish requirement. The water in which betta is taken to home should not get heated up, as it can cause serious problems to the fish. Also, immediately after reaching home betta should be transferred to the tank or aquarium. Another point that should be considered is not to just dump the fish in the tank without acclimating it. For this ensure to float the fish first on the aquarium sealed in the bag in which it was bought. This process should continue for a minimum of forty minutes. This is an important step because the sudden change in water temperature can lead to stress in betta, which is not good. Once betta is accustomed to the aquarium water temperature, then it should slowly release into the tank.

What to feed Betta Fish

Betta is not a very demanding fish, you can fee them anything starting from wheat aloud, bloodworms, daphnia, small shrimps or small mosquitos larvae. The fact is that the more variation one can implement in their diet the more colourful, healthy and active they will be. Once their done eating, excess food from the tank should be removed. Make sure to feed the most rare betta fish every day without fail.
